The Internal Quality Assurance Cell and the Department of BMS organised a Six-Day Personality Development Camp for the First-Year students with the goal of fostering the soft skills and a holistic development of the students.
The camp's main objective was to familiarize participants with the emerging ideas and trends on how to enhance their soft skills and flourish in the 21st century. A total of 78 students from First Year BMS, BAMMC and B.Com (A & F) participated in the camp.

The Art of Creating First Impression
Day 1
The inaugural event was held on Monday, January 29, 2024, and the acclaimed Principal and Vice Principal attended. The first session, titled "Unleash the Potentials of Soft Skill in Career Advancement," began once the lamp was lit. Mr. Michael Jose, a corporate trainer and expert speaker, spent an hour discussing soft skills with the pupils. The speaker gave an overview of the value and significance of soft skills in both personal and professional spheres.
Day 2
On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, the camp's second day, guest speaker Ms. Pooja Vaidya spoke on the topic of "Establishing Social Etiquette." The expert shared information on social etiquette, which is the courteous code of behavior observed in social situations. This covers attitudes and actions like being on time and having nice conversations. Speaking loudly enough and with clarity is another example. The speaker's social style helped the students form a personal bond.
Day 3
Ms. Jignasa Pandya, a certified yoga trainer, gave a talk on mental wellbeing to foster personality on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. The speaker's topic of discussion was the relationship between personality qualities and mental health. Additionally, she discussed the seven elements of positive mental health: resilience, positive emotional balance, maturity, strengths of character, life satisfaction (actual happiness), socioemotional intelligence, and positive emotional balance. The speaker gave the pupils instruction in practical yoga poses.
Day 4
Dr. Sneha Vaskar, a licensed corporate trainer, presented on the topic of "Uncovering the Potentials of Social Media Personal Branding" on Thursday, February 1, 2024. According to the speaker, social media sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter are great resources for building and expanding a personal brand because they give users the opportunity to connect with a wider range of specific target consumers. Also, it gives you the ability to write the story around your brand, giving you complete control over what people discover when they search for you.
Day 5
Build Your Confidence was the topic of Ms. Tina Kalra's talk on Friday, February 2, 2024. She is a trained soft skill trainer from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Tips from Ms. Tina included Make sure that the goals are reasonable. Engage in constructive self-talk. Allocate time for one’s interests and experimentation to discover the areas of passion. Speak with a counselor or mental health specialist to discover self-management techniques that can enhance self-worth and confidence.
Day 6
Ms. Nishka Joshi provided insights on The Art of Creating First Impression on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Ms. Joshi provided fourteen guidelines for creating a strong first impression.
Get there early, Actively listen, show empathy, pay attention to your posture and body language, Adjust your voice and pitch, make thoughtful word choices, look the part, and make eye contact. The lesson on establishing a strong first impression was well-absorbed by the students.
During the closing ceremony, attendees shared their thoughts on their experiences attending and learning from the six-day camp. Upon successfully finishing the six-day camp, the principal and vice principal distributed certificates.
