The Cultural Committee of Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Commerce and Science organised its annual intercollegiate fest, Nirvaan, on Monday, 09 December, 2024 and Tuesday, 10 December, 2024. In keeping with the guidelines stipulated by NEP 2020 implemented from current academic year, the institution set Indian cultures as the theme of Nirvaan. Therefore, this year, the concept espoused by Nirvaan was ‘The Folk Carnival, Celebration of Cultural Splendour’. Students from across colleges in Mumbai showcased the vibrant heritage and cultural legacy of the rich folklore, stories and traditions of our country and captivated everyone. The Management of the Institution, Managing Trustee Madam Aruna Desai, Secretary Ms. Dhara Desai, and I/C Principal Ms. Swiddle D’Cunha rendered resolute support and guidance throughout the planning, organisation and execution of Nirvaan. Dr. Poonam Kakkad, Vice-Principal, and IQAC Co-ordinator took the lead and with support from with Convener Mr. Rishabh Desai and Co-convener Ms. Nilam Goradiya, ensured flawless progression and smooth execution of the entire event. Faculty members, non- teaching staff as well as students deputed at various positions along with volunteers made the programme a grand success. More than 800 participants from 65 colleges participated in Nirvaan 2024, which is testimony to the fact that NMFC manages to outdo its previous milestones every year.
