The Department of B.Com (Accounting & Finance) in collaboration with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) had organised a “Career Counselling and Awareness Session” for the students of First, Second and Third Year B.Com (A & F) students on Wednesday, 22nd July, 2026 at 11.00 a.m in the College Auditorium (Nirmala Hall).

The session was conducted by CMA Binoy Thomas, a Practicing Cost & Management Accountant and Founder of Binoy Thomas & Associates. He imparted information to the students based on the following points:

The CMA course structure and its integration with Commerce and Management Studies

Career avenues in Industry, Consultancy, Finance, Taxation, and Government Services

Campus placement opportunities, where reputed corporates like ONGC, BHEL, Wipro, TATA, Infosys, and others regularly recruit CMA-qualified professionals

Information about ACCA and CFP courses with future scope

A total of 206 students attended the session and benefitted from it.
