The Department of B.Sc. IT and B.Sc. CS organised a “Prompt Engineering” Seminar on Friday, 28th June, 2024 from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm in the 706 - Seminar Hall.
The resource person for the seminar was Dr. Y Srinivasa Rao, Ph.D (ES-IIT-Bombay), Vice-Principal and Dean (R&D), Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sardar Patel Institute of Technology.
Dr. Y Srinivasa Rao was welcomed by Ms. Vaishali Mishra, Coordinator of B.Sc. IT and Vice-Principal Dr. Poonam Kakkad felicitated Dr. Rao. Dr. Poonam Kakkad also shared a few words to explain the importance of the seminar and encouraged students to gain the maximum benefit out of it.
Dr. Roa discussed various career opportunities available for students for making careers in the sectors of Artificial Intelligence and especially prompt engineering. The eminent speaker also thrown light on the challenges and threats of using AI and its growing use.
The seminar was concluded on a good note by proposing a formal vote of thanks by Mr. Shivkumar Chandey, Assistant Professor, Department of B.Sc. IT and B.Sc. CS.
Agenda: • To understand the importance of Prompt engineering which plays a pivotal role in software development by using AI models to generate code snippets or solve programming challenges. • To use prompt engineering in software development which can save time and assist developers in coding tasks.
