The Department of Commerce organized a seminar on “Impact of Microplastics on Aquatic Life” on Tuesday, 17th February 2026 at 9.00 a.m. in Nirmala Hall for FY and SY B.Com and BAMMC students. The seminar was conducted as part of academic enrichment and to promote environmental awareness among students. The session was delivered by Mr. Kartik Adake, Assistant Professor from St. Xavier’s College. He provided valuable insights into the sources of microplastics, their increasing presence in water bodies, and their harmful effects on aquatic organisms and marine ecosystem.
