The Department of B.Com (Accounting & Finance) in collaboration with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) had organised a “Career Counselling and Awareness Session” for the students of First, Second and Third Year B.Com (A & F) students on Tuesday, 25th November, 2025 at 11.00 a.m in the College Auditorium (Nirmala Hall).

The session was conducted by CMA Binoy Thomas, a Practicing Cost & Management Accountant and Founder of Binoy Thomas & Associates. He imparted information to the students based on the following points:

• The CMA course structure and its integration with Commerce and Management Studies
• Career avenues in Industry, Consultancy, Finance, Taxation, and Government Services
• Campus placement opportunities, where reputed corporates like ONGC, BHEL, Wipro, TATA, Infosys, and others regularly recruit CMA-qualified professionals

A total of 140 students attended the session and benefited from it.
