The Department of B.Sc. (Data Science) organized a CPR Training Session on 9th September 2026 at the Main Auditorium for the students of First Year (FY). The session was conducted by Ms. Sumaiya Raghavan and her team from Revive Heart Foundation.

The training session aimed to create awareness among students about Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the importance of responding promptly during a cardiac emergency. Ms. Sumaiya Raghavan explained the basic principles of CPR, the steps involved in performing it, and the importance of immediate intervention while waiting for professional medical assistance.

The session included practical guidance and demonstrations, enabling students to understand the appropriate procedure for performing CPR. The trainer also emphasized the importance of remaining calm, assessing the situation, seeking emergency assistance, and providing timely aid to a person in need.

The session was informative and engaging, providing students with valuable knowledge and basic life-saving skills. It helped enhance their awareness and preparedness to respond appropriately during emergency situations.
