As a part of the External Assessment for the Co-curricular subject “Cultural Expressions through Cinema, TV and Theatre”, the Department of B Com and BAMMC organized a seminar titled “Hands-on Workshop for Short Film Making” for all learners of Second Year of the above-mentioned programmes.
The seminar was conducted on 5th January, 2026, at the college premises. Students were instructed to report at 11:30 a.m. The session was conducted online by Dr. Amrin Moger, Co-ordinator of the BAMMC Programme, Guru Nanak College of Arts, Science and Commerce.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating and asking questions related to filmmaking challenges and creative processes. Practical examples and real-life experiences shared by the resource person helped learners gain clarity about the technical and creative aspects of short films.
The workshop proved to be informative and engaging, enriching the students’ understanding of cinema as a medium of cultural expression. It successfully met its objectives and contributed meaningfully to the external assessment component of the co-curricular subject.
The Departments expressed their gratitude to Dr. Amrin Moger for her valuable guidance and for making the workshop a great learning experience for the students.
