The Department of Information Technology, Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Commerce & Science (Autonomous), organized an Orientation Programme for the students of  F.Y.B.Sc.IT in June 2026. The programme was conducted to acquaint students with the academic and administrative aspects of the college and prepare them for the upcoming academic year.The session commenced with a warm welcome to the students, followed by an introduction to the department and faculty members. Students were briefed about the course curriculum, credit structure, examination and evaluation pattern, attendance requirements, and academic expectations.Information regarding various co-curricular and extracurricular activities, technical events, workshops, internships, research opportunities, value-added courses, and certification programmes was shared. Students were also encouraged to actively participate in departmental clubs, competitions, and community engagement activities.The orientation highlighted the importance of discipline, punctuality, professional conduct, and adherence to college rules and regulations. Students were informed about the functioning of various college committees, grievance redressal mechanisms, anti-ragging measures, and student support services.The session also provided guidance on career development, higher education opportunities, industry expectations, and skill enhancement through emerging technologies. Queries raised by students were addressed, making the programme interactive and informative.The Orientation Programme concluded with a vote of thanks. The programme was successfully conducted under the guidance of Ms. Vaishali Mishra (Co-ordinator, B.Sc.IT).
