The Departments of BCom (MS) and B.Com ( A & F) in association with IBS - Mumbai (under existing MOU) organised a Workshop on Soft Skills for Personal and Professional Effectiveness scheduled on Monday, 9th February, 2026 in the Mini Auditorium. Prof. Kedar Dunakhe, Associate Dean (Academics and Brand Building) was the Expert Speaker. The workshop’s goal is to help students to “Empower Success through Soft Skill".

The workshop was conducted with the objective of empowering students with essential soft skills required for personal development, academic excellence, and long-term professional success. The session aimed to enhance students’ communication abilities, interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, and overall professional readiness.

During the workshop, Prof. Dunakhe emphasized the importance of soft skills such as effective communication, teamwork, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and professional etiquette in today’s competitive environment. He shared real-world examples and interactive discussions that helped students understand how soft skills complement technical knowledge and play a crucial role in career advancement. The session also highlighted the role of continuous learning, self-confidence, and positive attitude in achieving professional excellence.

Students actively participated in the workshop and found the session highly informative, engaging, and motivating. The interaction provided them with practical guidance on personal grooming, workplace behavior, and career preparedness.

The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to IBS Mumbai, Prof. Kedar Dunakhe, faculty members, and students for their enthusiastic participation and support. The event was a meaningful academic initiative that contributed significantly to the holistic development of students.
