A Warli Painting workshop was organised by the Department of Commerce for FYBCOM students on 5th January 2026 with the objective of promoting cultural awareness and nurturing creativity among students. The workshop introduced students to the rich tradition of Warli art, a tribal art form originating from Maharashtra, known for its simple yet expressive depiction of daily life, nature, and social themes.
Around 160 students actively participated in the workshop with great enthusiasm. Students were given hands-on practice, which encouraged creativity, concentration, and artistic expression. The interactive nature of the workshop helped students appreciate traditional Indian art forms and understand their relevance in contemporary times. The workshop concluded with a display of students’ paintings, showcasing their talent and efforts.
