On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of the esteemed senior poet Shri. V. V. Shirwadkar (Kusumagraj), celebrated as Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din on 27th February, 2025 from 08:00 am onwards, the Marathi Vangmay Mandal of college organized an engaging and enriching activity called "Read-O-Meter". The event was designed to honor the Marathi language, celebrate its cultural significance, and promote its use among the students.The Read-O-Meter activity was an exciting classroom exercise that aimed to bring students closer to the Marathi language. Each participant was given a Marathi book and instructed to read a specific paragraph aloud continuously. The goal was to demonstrate fluency and proper pronunciation while reading. Class to class activity was conducted.The activity encouraged students to engage deeply with the Marathi language, not only by reading it but also by ensuring accuracy in pronunciation and expressing the content fluently. This gave participants an opportunity to test their Marathi reading skills in a fun and competitive manner.The "Read-O-Meter" activity provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their Marathi reading abilities while celebrating the cultural and linguistic heritage of Maharashtra. By actively participating in this event, students not only enhanced their reading skills but also became more aware of the importance of preserving and promoting the Marathi language. The activity successfully achieved its objectives of encouraging the use of Marathi and instilling pride in the language among the students of college.
The Marathi Vangmay Mandal of Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Commerce and Science had organized a special screening of the movie "Pawankhind" on 18th February ,2025 in Block-706 (Mini auditorium) .The screening aimed to pay tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, educate students about his life and times through the cinematic medium, and foster an appreciation for historical narratives. The event garnered enthusiastic participation from the students, with 81 attendees. The screening of "Pawankhind" served as a powerful reminder of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's legacy and the sacrifices made by Maratha warriors.The event successfully achieved its objectives, providing students with both an educational and culturally enriching experience.
The Marathi Essay Writing Competition was a resounding success, celebrating the spirit of Marathi language on a profound level and the occasion of 76 th “Republic Day” celebration. The Essay writing showcased the eloquence and expressive capabilities of the participants. The Marathi Vangmaya Mandal of the college organized a Shiv-Jayanti Utsav a Road Procession and in Chawk Area. “Shiv-Jayanti Utsav '' is celebrated on the Shivaji Maharaj birth occasion. An event was organized for remembrance of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Tuesday, 20th February, 2024 at 09:00 am a road procession and in Chowk Area at 9:45 am students performed Manavi Manora, Palkhi and Lezim.We had a Road Procession with Dhol Tasha Pathak and Lezim from 09:00 am, on 90 feet road near the college area. Followed by an event in the Chowk area at 9:45 am with Dhol Tasha Pathak, Manavi Manora, Palkhi and Lezim. All departments actively participated in the event. It was an enthusiastic and overwhelming experience for all the participants.
The Marathi Vangmay Mandal organized a Marathi Singing and Elocution competition on Friday, 1st March 2024 at 10:45 a.m. in Block No. 706.
Singing Competition:

An event is organized “Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din” as to celebrate by paying tributing on birthday of Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar (Kusumagraj), Monday, 27th February, 2023 at 09:45 am. The event conducted in Mini Auditorium - participants presented marathi literature.
“Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din” is celebrated on February '27' every year across the Indian states of Maharashtra. This day is regulated by the State Government. It is celebrated on Birthday of the eminent Marathi Senior poet Kusumagraj. Kusumagraj has made significant contribution in the cultural field of Maharashtra and tireless efforts have been made to make Marathi the language of knowledge.
Our event emphasized on Elocution, Story Telling, Standup Skit, Drama (Ekankika), Song, and poem. Our participants participated as whole description of Maharashtra in Marathi Language.
The Marathi Vangmaya Mandal of the college organized a Marathi Traditional Folk Competition in Block 311. An event is organized for enhancing the Maharashtra’s Folk traditional form of dance and cultural, Monday, 10th January, 2023 at 11:30 am. The event will be conducted in Block 311.The Judge gave a remarkable view on the event organized by the Marathi Vangmaya Mandal. It was an overwhelming experience for all the participants.
The Marathi Vangmaya Mandal of the college organized a Singing Competition in the Mini-Auditorium. An event is organized for enhancing the Maharashtrian tradition, Tuesday, 29th November, 2022 at 11:30 am. The event will be conducted in Mini-Auditorium. Almost 8 participants participated in the event. It was a very enthusiastic event for all. The Judge gave a remarkable view on the event organized by the Marathi Vangmaya Mandal. It was an overwhelming experience for all the participants.
On 27th February 2021 Marathi Vangmay Mandal celebrated Marathi Bhasha Diwas by organizing various intercollegiate activities at state level. Activities included Singing, dancing, poetry recitation, monoacting etc. Around 15 colleges participated and best 3 from every activity were awarded. Mr. Shripad Joshi, Marathi Poet was invited as a Chief Guest to address the participants and tell them the beauty of Marathi language.

Marathi Vangmay Mandal during Diwali various competitions were organized like rangoli making, festoon making, diya painting etc. More than 100 students participated enthusiastically in different events. Students were asked to send the photo and the best three were given prizes.
