Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Commerce and Science is Committed to reaching out to the underprivileged sections of the society and lending a helping hand wherever necessary unconditionally Need Internal Links for NSS and DLLE
NSS stands for National Service Scheme and it started in the year 2010 in the college. The activities are conducted as per the guidelines of NSS cell, University of Mumbai. The NSS unit has 1 unit which comprises of 100 volunteers. The student can be a part of NSS for 2 consecutive years in which he/she needs to complete 120 hours every year.
Volunteers are involved in various social activities like teaching underprivileged students from slum areas, tree plantation, organising blood donation drives and many more. A 7 days residential camp is mandatory for every volunteer.

The objectives of NSS are:

1. To make positive change in the society.
2. To develop the personality of the students.
3. To give students opportunity to participate at various state and national level camps and activities.
4. To give a platform to students for showcasing their talent.
Thus, there is a win win situation as it benefits to the society and to the students.
DLLE stands for Department of Lifelong Learning and Extention. It was started in the year 2019 in the College. Department follows the guildlines provided by DLLE Unit, University of Mumbai.
Learners of the College can enroll themselves in the department for 1 year. Once enrolled, they need to give 120 hours each year for DLLE activities.
Volunteers once involved in various DLLE activities like Surveys,Awareness Camps,Literacy Programme, Selling of Handicraft mane by Tribals, Upliftment programme for children and women. Volunteers are also involved in many Social and Environmental activities like Skills,Tree Plantation,Beach Cleaning,etc.

The Objectives of DLLE are :

1) To make a progressive change cin the Society.
2) To develop Entrepreneurs Skills of the Students.
3) To develop the Personality of the Volunteers.
4) To spread awareness among various Social issues and to final solutions for the same.
