The B. Com (A&F) department, in collaboration with Loyola Academy Hyderabad, successfully organized a "Mock Stock: Hands on Training Program" on 9th January, 2025, in Block No. 506. This program aimed to provide students with practical experience in the stock market and equip them with the necessary skills to make informed investment decisions.

The Department of BMS, in association with Career Managers (A Management Foundation), successfully conducted the Business Quiz on Monday, 3rd February 2025, under the MoU. The event aimed to enhance students' business acumen, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
A total of 199 students participated, making the competition intense and engaging. The quiz provided a dynamic platform for students to test their knowledge in business, finance, and management while fostering healthy competition and enhancing critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and awareness of business trends.

To enhance students' analytical and problem-solving skills, the Department of BMS organized a case study analysis competition titled "Decode & Deliver: The Case Quest" on Wednesday, 22nd January 2025, at 11:30 a.m. in Block No. 506.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 34 students, who showcased their analytical expertise and innovative solutions while tackling complex case studies. The competition was judged by Ms. Rupali Ekbote, an esteemed alumnus of the BMS Department, Batch of 2019-20.

The Department of B.Com (MS), in collaboration with Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology, organized a Faculty Exchange Programme titled “Mastering Soft Skills for Professional Success” on Monday, 13th January 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Mini-Auditorium (Block No. 706). The session aimed to enhance the professional and interpersonal skills of the First-Year students.
The guest speaker for the event was Dr. Sr. Candy D’Cunha, Dean of Students’ Affairs at Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology. With her vast experience, Dr. D’Cunha provided valuable insights into essential soft skills such as effective communication, teamwork, Leadership, time management, and adaptability, which are crucial for thriving in professional environments.
Through interactive discussions and practical examples, Dr. D’Cunha emphasized the importance of soft skills in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and workplace expectations. She also encouraged students to cultivate self-confidence and a positive attitude to achieve success in their careers. The session concluded with a Thumbs Up clap which the students really enjoyed.
The seminar was well-received by the students. Overall, the session proved to be an enriching experience, equipping students with practical tools for professional growth. A total of 63 students benefited from the session.
The Department of B.Com (MS) & B. Com (A&F) in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college had organized a one-day “Outdoor Management Training Programme” on Thursday, 19th December, 2024 at Sanjay Gandhi National Park for the students for First Year B. Com (MS) & SYBAF.
Mr. Nikhil Velari, a renowned corporate trainer and an alumnus of the BMS Department of the college (graduated in the year 2016-17) was the trainer. He is known for conducting leadership building programmes and has trained thousands of young learners.
The session consisted of various activities and fun games based on Principles of Management. This form of experiential learning in outdoor settings, helped participants cultivate stronger interpersonal relationships, fostered trust and developed a deeper understanding of teamwork dynamics. It encouraged adaptability, resilience and effective communication resulting in better collaboration and decision-making. A total of 72 students benefited from the programme.
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell and the Department of B.Com (MS) successfully organized a Six-Day Personality Development Camp for First-Year students. The camp aimed to nurture students' soft skills and promote their holistic development.
The primary objective of the camp was to acquaint participants with emerging trends and strategies to enhance their soft skills, enabling them to thrive in the dynamic environment of the 21st century. A total of 85 students from First-Year B.Com (MS) and B.Com (A & F) registered and on an average, 70 actively participated in the program.

Day 1
The inaugural event was held on Monday, 20th January, 2025 and the Principal and Vice-Principal graced the occasion. The day began with the lighting of the lamp followed by the session on "Mastering the Art of Corporate Correspondence". Ms. Vinaya Ratnaparkhi, a Soft-Skill Trainer and Coach gave an overview of the value and significance of soft skills in both personal and professional spheres.
The workshop aimed to provide insights into the principles of effective corporate communication, focusing on clarity, professionalism, and adaptability. It emphasized the importance of precision and tone in crafting emails, reports, and other formal correspondence.
Participants engaged in interactive sessions that covered essential topics such as structuring professional emails, avoiding common errors, and tailoring communication to diverse audiences.
Day 2
On Tuesday, 21st January, 2025, the guest speaker Ms. Tina Kalra spoke on the topic of "Building Connections Through Effective Communication".
The program focused on the importance of effective communication in building strong professional and personal connections. Participants were introduced to key strategies for active listening, non-verbal communication, and articulating thoughts with clarity and confidence.
Interactive activities, including group discussions, helped participants practice and refine their communication skills.
Day 3
Ms. Manjula Kamath, Life Skills Trainer, Educator and Entrepreneur gave a talk on Pathways to Leadership on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
The Speaker shared valuable insights on developing essential leadership qualities such as decision-making, team management, and effective communication. Through engaging activities and practical examples, participants were encouraged to explore their leadership potential and build confidence to take on leadership roles in various aspects of life.
The session was well-received and left a lasting impression on the participants, inspiring them to embark on their journey toward becoming impactful leaders.
Day 4
Dr. Shivani Naik's talk on “Unlock your Brand Potential” on Thursday, 23rd January, 2025 provided participants with valuable insights into personal branding and its significance in today’s competitive world. Dr. Naik emphasized the importance of self-awareness, consistent messaging, and leveraging unique strengths to build a strong personal brand.
Interactive discussions and activities allowed participants to reflect on their individual attributes and create a roadmap to enhance their personal and professional identities.

Ms. Kamakshi Gupte provided insights on “Unlocking Emotional Intelligence: A Pathway to Self-Awareness” on Friday, 24th January, 2025.
Ms. Gupte emphasized the importance of emotional intelligence in personal and professional growth. She highlighted key aspects such as self-awareness, empathy, and emotional regulation, and explained how these skills contribute to effective decision-making and relationship building.
Through engaging activities and real-life examples, participants were encouraged to explore their emotions, understand their impact, and develop strategies for managing them constructively.
Day 6
Dr. Sneha Vaskar, a licensed corporate trainer, presented on the topic “The Power of First Impression” on Saturday, 25th January, 2025. The session highlighted the significance of creating a positive and lasting first impression in both personal and professional settings.
The speaker shared practical tips on grooming, body language, and effective communication, emphasizing how these elements contribute to building confidence and credibility. Participants engaged in hands-on activities to practice and refine their skills in making a strong first impression.
The session was an inspiring conclusion to the camp, equipping participants with valuable tools to present themselves confidently and leave a memorable mark in every interaction.
During the closing ceremony, attendees shared their thoughts on their experiences attending and learning from the Six-Day Camp. The event concluded with a Valedictory Ceremony where the attendees received their certificates.
The Departments of B.Com (A & F) and B.Com (MS) organized a live workshop on Thursday, 08th August 2024 for Module IV on the subject of Fundamentals of People’s Skills for the first-year learners. The session was conducted by Ms. Sangeeta Varma on “Resume Building” for the students in the college auditorium. The workshop was designed to empower students with the tools and knowledge needed to create standout resumes. The workshop began with an overview of effective resume structures, emphasizing clarity, conciseness, and relevance. Participants learned how to craft impactful resumes tailored to specific job applications, including tips on highlighting achievements and skills. The workshop successfully equipped students with valuable skills and insights, fostering greater confidence in their job search and career development efforts. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions and seek guidance on specific career-related concerns. A total number of 203 learners benefited from the workshop.
The Department of B.Com ( A & F) in association with Bombay Stock Exchange Brokers organized a training program on “Mastering Money: A Guide to Financial Literacy” on Wednesday, 27th November 2024 for the students of B.Com (A & F) and BMS (Finance specialization). The objective of the training was to acquaint the students with the stock market regulations given by SEBI and create awareness about investing smartly and not falling prey to tips given by any organizations or individuals. This training program benefited 110 students.
The Department of BMS hosted a vibrant Marketing Fun and Fair on September 6, 2024, exclusively for SYBMS students. This event served as a platform for aspiring marketers to showcase their business acumen and gain practical experience. Students were divided into four categories: Food Stalls, Game Stalls, Retail Stalls, and Art Stalls. Each student selected a category and prepared accordingly. The fair was a lively and engaging opportunity for students to learn the intricacies of the marketplace. To promote their stalls, students devised creative marketing strategies and adorned their spaces with attractive decorations. The game stalls offered a variety of challenges, from mental puzzles to physical activities like skipping and planking. Food stalls showcased diverse culinary delights, ranging from traditional Maharashtrian Misal to authentic South bites. The event was a resounding success, providing students with a fun and educational experience. They not only enjoyed participating but also generated profits. Over 200 students benefited from this enriching opportunity.
On September 4th, 252 students and 6 dedicated faculty members from Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Commerce and Science embarked on a remarkable educational visit to Nehru Planetarium. The event was centered around the theme of the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) and included an awe-inspiring show titled "Biography of the Universe."
Students were taken on a thrilling journey through the vastness of the cosmos, exploring planets, stars, the Milky Way, asteroids, and the Orion Nebula. The show offered an in-depth look at the wonders of astronomy, expanding their knowledge about celestial bodies and the mysteries of the universe. The immersive experience also highlighted gregarious, swirling formations in space, leaving the audience in awe of the universe's complexities.
The initiative was handled brilliantly by the faculty, ensuring that the students not only enjoyed the show but also absorbed critical learnings. The visit was a perfect blend of entertainment and education, underlining the college’s commitment to broadening students' horizons and fostering a deeper appreciation for science and Indian heritage.
Such educational visits are vital as they expose students to hands-on learning experiences outside the classroom, helping them connect theoretical knowledge with real-world phenomena. This initiative reflects the college’s ongoing efforts to provide holistic education that nurtures curiosity and innovation.
The Department of BMS had organised an Educational Visit to K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus (Pillai Institute of Management studies and Research, Panvel) on Saturday 20th July, 2024 for the students of SYBMS and TYBMS. This visit was organized as part of the Student Exchange Programme following the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between our college and Pillai Institute. The visit aimed to enhance students' intellectual and cultural horizons.The visit commenced with a dedicated session on skill development, focusing on essential skills such as communication, problem-solving, and leadership.Practical tips and strategies were shared to help students apply these skills effectively in both academic and professional settings.Following the skill development session, students engaged in a stimulating business simulation game.The game simulated real-world business scenarios where students had to make strategic decisions, manage resources, and navigate challenges.This interactive experience provided hands-on learning in business management, fostering critical thinking and decision-making skills.
The visit was a significant learning experience for our students, offering practical insights into educational practices beyond our own institution. It broadened their perspectives on academic excellence and inspired them to aspire to higher standards in their educational journey. Moreover, interactions during the visit fostered a spirit of mutual enrichment between the students of both institutions, aligning with the objectives of the Student Exchange Programme.

Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Commerce and Science had organised the IIT Spoken Tutorial Certification Examination for the students of First, Second and Third Year BMS for the academic year 2024-2025. The examination aimed to assess students’ understanding and application of key concepts in various technical subjects, enhancing their practical skills and communication abilities through spoken tutorials.
Spoken Tutorial is an initiative of MHRD, Govt. of India and a part of National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT), developed at IIT-Bombay.
Resources were shared with the students to enable them to learn and master various programming languages and software through the free Audio-Video content with self-learning methodology.

An Orientation Program was held on 18th July, 2024 for the first year B.Com (MS) students in the college auditorium from 8.00 a.m onwards. The objective of the program was to orient students regarding the NEP, get them acquainted with the rules and regulations and the various facilities and activities in the college.

The Department of BMS and BAF organised Unleash the Social and Business Etiquette Mindset” Workshop on Saturday, for First Year learners on Saturday, 10th August, 2024 in the main auditorium.
Ms. Riddhi Mukesh Kunjwani, Certified Soft Skill Trainer, Corporate Trainer and Founder of Riddhi’s Soft Skills Solution (her own establishment), conducted the sessions for the First Year learners of BMS and BAF in their respective slots. Ms. Kunjwani has been mentoring college students, working professionals, entrepreneurs and home-makers too in various facets of Soft Skills and has been associated with renowned companies like Hutch/ Vodafone, NIIT, ACPD Solutions and more.
The Workshop gave valuable insights to the attendees into the importance and ways to acquire etiquettes and social grace in the professional world. The highlight of the workshop was the dining etiquette session. The learners had been asked to carry cutlery articles and a cake piece to gain on-hands practice of dining correctly in formal setups.
Ms. Kunjwani gave in-depth glimpses into the need and importance of learning and practising social and professional etiquette.
The learners enjoyed the session, especially savouring the cake with fork and spoon and learning the correct way to do it.

The Department of BMS in association with IQAC had organized an Educational Tour to ICFAI Business School – IBS, (Powai) for the students of Third Year BMS on Wednesday, 14th August 2024. The Department of BMS successfully organized a Digital Flyer competition titled " Flyer Fest: Craft Your Best" on Wednesday, 31st July, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Block number 409 & 410. This creative event was designed to encourage students to showcase their design skills using the Canva tool. The theme for the competition was “Any Services”. Seventy enthusiastic students participated in the event, gaining valuable insights from Mr. Amir Ahmed Khan, an esteemed expert in leadership and personal development. The workshop featured hands-on experience and engaging leadership games, making the learning process interactive and enjoyable.
The two-hour workshop included various activities designed to uncover hidden skills and foster self-awareness among students. The Department of BMS at Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Commerce and Science had organised a seminar titled "Careers in Digital Marketing". This exciting event is being held in association with Atlas SkillTech University.

Taking forward the undertaken MoU of Student Exchange Program the Department of BMS and Internal Quality Assurance of the college in association with Mahatma Education Society, Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research organised Generating Business Idea Simulation Workshop” on Thursday, 7th March, 2024 in lab number 01 at 9:30 am. The students of Pillai Institute students enjoyed a productive learning experience, developing their creative thinking and mastering the craft of design skills. Students of TYBMS and SYBMS too participated at the workshop. A Total of 52 students of NMFC and 07 students of Pillai college benefited from the workshop.
The Department of BMS, in collaboration with IQAC, organized A Virtual National Level Research Paper Presentation Competition “Research Enclave on The Changing Trends in Commerce, Management and Information Technology in the 21st Century” on Wednesday, 28th February 2024. There were 8 participants from Maharashtra and Gujarat and the idea was to give an opportunity to undergraduate students, postgraduate students and research scholars to present their research work. Research papers were presented in the areas of education, electrical engineering, stock market, GST applications, E-commerce and Online gaming. The judge for the session was Dr. Samrat Srivastava, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, KES Shroff College, Kandivali (West), Mumbai. The objective was to enhance the research paper presentation skills of the participants.
The Department of BMS had organized a National Level Quiz titled "Conquering the Management Maze'' which was scheduled on Saturday, 17th February, 2024. The quiz consisted of questions based on current events and general management theories. Approximately 50 students participated in the National Level quiz.

To enhance the soft skills of students, the Department of BMS and BAF on Tuesday, 6th February, 2024 organized a seminar on “Tips and tricks to crack Interview” where the students will learn to articulate their strengths, experiences and goals effectively to crack job Interviews. A total of 156 students benefited from it.
The Department of BMS organised a learning session titled “Know the Court Room Proceedings' ' scheduled on Monday, 5th February, 2024 at 9.00 am in the Block No 711 (Moot Court Room) . The seminar offered a unique opportunity to the students to gain insights into the legal world through a Moot Court experience. The takeaway of the seminar was students had an excellent opportunity to learn about legal procedures, develop argumentation and analytical skills, and gain valuable insights from experienced legal professionals. Join us to get practical understanding of courtroom proceedings. Total number of beneficiaries were 44 students.
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell and the Department of BMS organised a Six-Day Personality Development Camp for the First-Year students with the goal of fostering the soft skills and a holistic development of the students.
The camp's main objective was to familiarize participants with the emerging ideas and trends on how to enhance their soft skills and flourish in the 21st century. A total of 78 students from First Year BMS, BAMMC and B.Com (A & F) participated in the camp.

The Art of Creating First Impression |
Day 1
The inaugural event was held on Monday, January 29, 2024, and the acclaimed Principal and Vice Principal attended. The first session, titled "Unleash the Potentials of Soft Skill in Career Advancement," began once the lamp was lit. Mr. Michael Jose, a corporate trainer and expert speaker, spent an hour discussing soft skills with the pupils. The speaker gave an overview of the value and significance of soft skills in both personal and professional spheres.
Day 2
On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, the camp's second day, guest speaker Ms. Pooja Vaidya spoke on the topic of "Establishing Social Etiquette." The expert shared information on social etiquette, which is the courteous code of behavior observed in social situations. This covers attitudes and actions like being on time and having nice conversations. Speaking loudly enough and with clarity is another example. The speaker's social style helped the students form a personal bond.
Day 3
Ms. Jignasa Pandya, a certified yoga trainer, gave a talk on mental wellbeing to foster personality on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. The speaker's topic of discussion was the relationship between personality qualities and mental health. Additionally, she discussed the seven elements of positive mental health: resilience, positive emotional balance, maturity, strengths of character, life satisfaction (actual happiness), socioemotional intelligence, and positive emotional balance. The speaker gave the pupils instruction in practical yoga poses.
Day 4
Dr. Sneha Vaskar, a licensed corporate trainer, presented on the topic of "Uncovering the Potentials of Social Media Personal Branding" on Thursday, February 1, 2024. According to the speaker, social media sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter are great resources for building and expanding a personal brand because they give users the opportunity to connect with a wider range of specific target consumers. Also, it gives you the ability to write the story around your brand, giving you complete control over what people discover when they search for you.
Day 5
Build Your Confidence was the topic of Ms. Tina Kalra's talk on Friday, February 2, 2024. She is a trained soft skill trainer from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Tips from Ms. Tina included Make sure that the goals are reasonable. Engage in constructive self-talk. Allocate time for one’s interests and experimentation to discover the areas of passion. Speak with a counselor or mental health specialist to discover self-management techniques that can enhance self-worth and confidence.
Day 6
Ms. Nishka Joshi provided insights on The Art of Creating First Impression on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Ms. Joshi provided fourteen guidelines for creating a strong first impression.
Get there early, Actively listen, show empathy, pay attention to your posture and body language, Adjust your voice and pitch, make thoughtful word choices, look the part, and make eye contact. The lesson on establishing a strong first impression was well-absorbed by the students.
During the closing ceremony, attendees shared their thoughts on their experiences attending and learning from the six-day camp. Upon successfully finishing the six-day camp, the principal and vice principal distributed certificates.
The Department of BMS in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college had organized a one-day “Outdoor Management Training Programme” on Thursday, 21st December, 2023 at Sanjay Gandhi National Park for the students for First Year BMS.Mr. Nikhil Velari, a renowned corporate trainer and an alumnus of the BMS Department of the college (graduated in the year 2016-17) was the trainer. He is known for conducting leadership building programmes and has trained thousands of young learners.The session consisted of various activities and fun games based on Principles of Management. This form of experiential learning in outdoor settings, helped participants cultivate stronger interpersonal relationships, fostered trust and developed a deeper understanding of teamwork dynamics. It encouraged adaptability, resilience and effective communication resulting in better collaboration and decision-making. A total of 86 students benefitted from the programme.
To enhance the Creative writing skills of students, Department of BMS organized a Guest lecture titled ‘Creativity is just connecting things’ scheduled on Thursday, 12th October 2023 from 10.00 am .Ms. Krishna Vora, an alumnus of BMS Department (Batch 2022-23) and Co-Founder and Executive Head: Moon Light Social Media Management (MLSMM) was the guest speaker.73 students got an opportunity to learn the art of corporate building through content writing.
The Department of BMS had organised a case study competition titled "Crack the Nut" on Monday, 9th October, 2023 at 10 a.m. in Block No. 503.
The aim of the competition was to enhance the analytical and design skills of students.
The case studies presented were related to general management, providing an opportunity for participants to apply their theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios. A total of 35 students benefitted from the competition.

The Department of B.Com ( A & F) in association will Bombay Stock Exchange Brokers organized a two day training program on “Overview of Capital Market” for the Second and Third Year B.Com (A & F) and BMS with Finance as specialisation. The speaker discussed topics related to the Working of Stock Market and Mutual Funds. The program gave meaningful insights to the students making their conceptual knowledge stronger.
The BMS Department had organised a Showcase Your Marketing Skills (Fun and Fair program) on Monday, 25th August 2023 from 9.00 am to 1:30 pmStudents of SYBMS arranged stalls in four categories. Food, Games, and Retail Exhibition. A total of 39 stalls were organised by students. This event was instrumental in building entrepreneur skills amongst students. They learnt the art of Product designing, pricing, promotion and placement and the skills to attract customers.Thus devising strategies to market their product were a learning point for students from this program.A total of 180 students benefitted from the program.
An orientation programme for the First Year students of B.Com (A & F) and BMS was conducted by the college on 12th July, 2023. The session took place in the college auditorium.The students were addressed by the Principal and Vice-Principal of the college followed by a session on the rules and regulation, discipline, assessment patterns and the various activities conducted by the college throughout the academic year.A total of 270 students attended the programme.
An orientation programme for the Third Year students of B.Com (A & F) and BMS was conducted by the college on 21st June, 2023. The session took place in the college auditorium.The students were addressed by the Principal and Vice-Principal of the college followed by a session on the rules and regulation, discipline, assessment patterns and the various activities conducted by the college throughout the academic year.A total of 330 students attended the programme.
An orientation programme for the Second Year students of B.Com (A & F) and BMS was conducted by the college on 19th June, 2023. The session took place in the college auditorium.The students were addressed by the Principal and Vice-Principal of the college followed by a session on the rules and regulation, discipline, assessment patterns and the various activities conducted by the college throughout the academic year.A total of 240 students attended the programme.
The Department of BMS organised an educational visit to Borivali Metropolitan Magistrate Court for First Year BMS Students from 11th September to 13th September, 2023 from 11.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.The court was quite welcoming to give exposure to the young minds. Students also got an opportunity to witness the legal proceedings. Students got the opportunity to witness the legal system in action. Approximately 200 students were benefitted from the visit.
On Saturday, 14th September, 2023 the Department of BMS organised an educational tour to HP International Ltd. for students of SY and TY BMS with HR specialisation. The said visit gave practical learning on industry operations. Experiential learning was given to students related to quality management and HRM at the plant. A total of 49 students participated in the visit.
The Department of BMS in association with Bombay Stock Exchange Brokers have organized an educational tour to Bombay Stock Exchange on Friday, 25th August, 2023 from 10:30 am for the students of second and third year with Finance specialisation. The guest speaker was Mr. Aditya Srinivas, senior broker of Bombay stock exchange.The session gave practical based knowledge of how stock exchanges function, showcasing the role of BSE in India's financial markets, explaining the concept of trading and investment, offering insights into various financial instruments and products traded on the exchange, and allowing participants to witness the practical aspects of stock market operations. A total of 46 Students benefited from the session.
With an aim to give practical exposure and learning experience to the students, on 26th August, 2023 the Department of BMS organized an education tour to Navneet Publishing House. The educational visit to Navneet Publication proved to be an insightful and enriching experience for the students.It offered a comprehensive view of the publishing industry, it taught students about manufacturing procedures, a series of marketing activities and logistics functioning, and its CSR activities. A total of 91 students of Second Year BMS benefited from the visit.
The Departments of BMS and B.Com (A & F) had organized a Workshop on “Corporate Etiquette” on Saturday, 12th August, 2023 for the students of FYBMS, FY.B.Com (A & F) and FYBAMMC in the college auditorium. Ms. Manisha Jain, an image consultant, soft skill and corporate trainer from Avance Image Management was the expert speaker. Training on body language, corporate manners and dining etiquette was delivered to students.In total 200 students of First year benefitted from the workshop. Students had a good takeaway from the session.
The Departments of BMS had organized a Workshop on “Communication Skills- Connect, Convey & Collaborate.” on Thursday, 3rd August, 2023 from 10.00 am for the students of First Year BMS and BAF in the college auditorium. Mr. Jose Michael, a well-known Soft Skills Trainer, Entrepreneur, & Corporate trainer was the featured speaker. The primary objective of the session was to enhance students' abilities to effectively convey their ideas, thoughts, and messages, both verbally and non-verbally. The workshop aimed to provide students with practical tools and techniques to improve various aspects of communication, including verbal expression, active listening, body language, and interpersonal skills.A total of 250 students benefited from the session.
The Department of BMS in association with Garware Institute of Career Education and Development, University of Mumbai had organised a seminar on "Career Options after Graduation" scheduled on Monday, 3rd July, 2023 from 11.30 am in block no. 311.The students were guided by a resource person from the Garware Institute about the numerous courses that they offer in conjunction with our college. The session was ideal for students who aren't interested in an MBA and are looking into alternative career options to familiarise themselves with the information.A total of 30 students benefitted from the session.
A seminar on “All About MBA” was organised by the Department of BMS on Wednesday, 28th June, 2023. The Guest Speaker was Mr. Vivek Sarda from Ideal Management, qualified MBA who has coached more than 10000 students for various entrance exams like CAT, CET, GMAT etc and Mr. Jash Mehta, qualified MMS from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS). The seminar gave insights on the pathway to do MBA. Detailed information was shared about options in MBA. Students of Second and Third Year classes benefited from the program. A total of 112 participants benefited from the program.
Learning beyond the Nest! The Department of BMS in association with IQAC had organized an Educational Tour to ICFAI Business School – IBS, (Powai) for the students of Third Year BMS on Monday, 31st July, 2023.The visit consisted of a campus tour followed by an hour session on Soft Skills for Personal and Professional Effectiveness and an Aptitude Test.160 students benefitted from the visit.
The Departments of BMS in association with IQAC had organized a Workshop on “Spark ! Ignite the Leader in You” on Wednesday, 26th July, 2023 from 11:15 am for the students of Second and Third Year BMS in the college auditorium. CA. Jinesh Shah, a well-known corporate trainer, was the featured speaker. The aim of the session was to help students develop their capacity for decision-making, delegation, leadership potential, and effective communication.A total of 60 students benefitted from the session.
The Department of BMS had arranged a competition titled " The Great Flyer Showdown: Battle of Designs" on Friday, 21st July, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. in block number 704. This competition intended to promote the idea of being environmentally friendly. The challenge in the competition was to create a unique flyer using the Canva tool. The theme for the competition was 'Protect Your Environment'. A total of 75 students registered for the program.

The Departments of BMS and B.Com (A & F) have organized a Workshop on “Pitch Perfect” on Saturday, 22nd July, 2023 from 11:15 am for the students of First Year BMS, B.Com (A & F) and B.A.M.M.C. in the college auditorium. The guest speakers were Dr. Mayur Vyas and Neshma Mantri, renowned Voice Over Artists in Bollywood Industry. The session taught the students how to use their vocal boxes effectively and to explore the various voicing textures in recognition of the crucial role they play in good formal presentations.A total of 142 students benefitted from the session.
The Department of B.Com (A & F) in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the College had arranged a workshop titled “The Mock Stock Trading Session" on Tuesday, 25th July, 2023 at 10 a.m. in Block No. 504. The Guest speaker was CA. Dharin Shah who enlightened the students on the Basic Stock Market Concepts and guided them regarding the Stock Trading Process.
The workshop was followed by a trading competition. A total of 66 students participated in the programme.

The college had arranged an industrial visit to Chandigarh and Manali for the students of first, second and third year BMS, B.Com (A & F), BAMMC, B.Sc (IT), B.Sc (CS), M.Com and M.Sc (IT) from 8th February, 2023 to 15th February, 2023.
The students were taken to Inter Solar and Sai Shawls where they were shown the manufacturing process of solar panels and shawls respectively. Students learnt greatly from the experience.
The Departments of BMS in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell had organized a seminar titled “The Success Management Story of Dabbawalas” on Tuesday, 6th September, 2022 for the students of Bachelor of Management Studies in the college auditorium.
Mr. Raghunath Medge, President of Dabbawala Association, Mumbai, was the Guest Speaker. The session gave insights to students on the unique business model which ensures that the right dabba reaching the right person at the right time. The session focused on an outline on simplicity with which the Dabbawalas, tiffin delivery service system works.
Students attended the seminar in large numbers and made it a success.
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell and the Department of BMS had organised a Three Day Certified Workshop on “Demystifying Financial Statement” scheduled on Tuesday, 20th, Wednesday, 21st and Thursday, 22nd December, 2022. The session was conducted by Ms. Aayushi Punamiya and Ms. Yukti Gala.
The workshop gave insights on reading understanding and analyzing Financial Statements.
The Department of BMS had organised a seminar on “Graphology and Effective Tool for Employee Recruitment and Retention” scheduled on Monday, 19th December, 2022. The session was conducted by Ms. Zinal Thacker, a renowned Handwriting Analyst who has conducted several sessions on Human Resource Management through Graphology.
The seminar gave insights on how HR managers use graphology as a strategy to attract and retain employees.
In order to enable the TYBMS learners to perform well in the Semester V University Examination, a series of Expert Lectures were organized by the college on Corporate Communication and Public Relations and
Logistics and Supply Chain Management on 16th and 19th November, 2022.
Ms. Gauri Datir of P. L Shroff College of Arts & Commerce and Ms. Kanchana Sattur of Mulund College of Commerce were the guest speakers. The sessions were conducted online. 104 students benefitted from the course.
The college had arranged a visit to Sula Wine, Nashik for the students of First Year BMS as a part of internal assessment on 2nd December, 2022.
Students got practical exposure on production and total quality management process at Sula. They learnt how resources are organsied and processed for the final output. Logistics concerned areas were also shown to the students at the plant. At the end of the visit students submitted a report on their learnings they had from the visit.
A total of 166 students visited the plant.
The college had arranged a visit to Reserve Bank of India Museum for the students of Third Year BMS with Finance specialisation as a part of internal assessment.
The visit was scheduled on Saturday, 10th August, 2022.
Students participated enthusiastically and benefited from the visit.
The IQAC and BMS Department had organised a Fun and Fair program on Monday, 29th August 2022 from 9.00 am to 1: 30 pm

The Departments of BMS and B.Com (A & F) had organized a Workshop on “Hop on to the Vocal Express” on Thursday, 25th August, 2022 from 11:30 am for the students of FYBMS and FY.B.Com (A & F) in the college auditorium.
The guest speaker was Dr. Mayur Vyas, a Voice Over Artist in Bollywood, Tollywood and Hollywood Industries, and also BMS Coordinator at Usha Pravin Gandhi College.
The session taught students on pitch, modulations, tone and how to use their vocal boxes effectively and explore the various voicing textures in recognition of the crucial role they play in good formal presentations.
At the end of the session a question and answer round took place.
A total of 108 students attended the session.
The Department of BMS organized a Workshop on “Corporate Etiquette” on Wednesday, 24th August, 2022 for the students of FYBMS in the college auditorium.

On 13th August, 2022 the students of FYBMS were oriented by the co-ordinator. The program began at 11 a.m in the college auditorium.
On Saturday, 6th August 2022 the Department of BMS organised an educational tour to HP International Ltd. for students of SY and TY BMS with HR specialisation. The said visit gave practical learning on industry operations. Experiential learning was given to students related to quality management and HRM at the plant. A total of 49 students participated in the visit.
The college had arranged a visit to Kokuyo Camlin Ltd for the students of Second Year BMS with marketing specialisation as a part of internal assessment. Students got practical exposure on production and total quality management process at Camlin. They learnt how resources are organsied and processed for the final output. Logistics concerned areas were also shown to the students at the plant. At the end of the visit students submitted a report on their learnings they had from the visit. A total of 103 students visited the plant.
On Wednesday, August 3, 2022, the Department of BMS hosted a career counselling session titled "What Next After Graduation" specifically tailored for SY and TY BMS students.The informative session was led by Dr. Aparna Jain, Assistant Director at SK Somaiya. A total of 138 students actively participated, seeking guidance on their post-graduation pathways. Dr. Jain delved into various career options within the realms of Marketing, Finance, and HR, providing valuable insights and shedding light on the current trends in these specializations.The event not only served as a platform for students to gain clarity on potential career trajectories but also kept them abreast of the latest developments and emerging opportunities in the dynamic fields of Marketing, Finance, and HR. The Department of BMS, through this initiative, aimed to empower students with the knowledge and foresight needed to make informed decisions about their future career paths.
The Department of BMS, had organized a Quiz Competition titled “The Quiz Master” scheduled on Friday, 15th July, 2022 at 12:00 noon in block no. 704. The quiz consisted of questions from the world of advertising. A total of 60 participants enthusiastically became a part of the program.

She delivered key elements for leading a successful professional and personal life. A total of 102 students benefited from the program.
The Department of BMS organized a motivational talk on "Discover Your Potentials" on Friday, July 29, 2022. The distinguished guest speaker for the event was Mr. Ishwar Jha, an Industry Expert and Business Consultant, also a member of our college's IQAC.Mr. Jha's insightful talk encouraged students to engage in introspection about their aspirations in life and recognize the unique talents inherent in each individual. The program aimed to inspire self-discovery and personal growth.A total of 295 students were in attendance, benefiting from the wisdom shared during the session. The event provided a valuable opportunity for students to tap into their potential and gain a deeper understanding of their inherent capabilities, setting the stage for personal and professional development.
In order to familiarise the students of FYBMS (who have completed HSC examination in Science and Arts Faculty) the Department of BMS offered a Bridge Course for Introduction to Financial Accounting subject, which is necessary to comprehend the subject in the graduation journey. The duration of the course was 4 days from 23rd July, 2022 to 27th July, 2022. 92 students benefited from the course.

The Department of BMS, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the College, organized a seminar on Saturday, July 30, 2022, focusing on the topic "Career Scope in the Advertising Industry." The program was conducted in four batches, with approximately 301 students in attendance.The esteemed Guest Speaker for the event was Mr. Jay Raval, an alumnus of the BMS Department (batch 2015-16). Formerly holding the position of Business Manager at Wavemaker Media Agency, which stands as the second largest media agency network globally, with clientele spanning domestic and international markets. Presently, he is associated with Estee Lauder Companies, overseeing media and revenue strategies.During his insightful session, Mr. Jay conveyed to students that the realm of advertising encompasses two primary domains: creativity and technicality. He encouraged students to reflect on their personal inclinations towards either flourishing in creative or technical areas. Various career prospects within these domains were thoroughly discussed.Overall, the seminar proved to be a valuable opportunity for students to gain invaluable insights into the diverse opportunities that the advertising industry has to offer. Mr. Jay Raval's expertise and experiences further enriched the session, providing students with a well-rounded understanding of potential career paths in this dynamic field.
